08.11.05
Huge week round these parts for Pete - not only has the Muzz's new single 'Class A' become the #1 most-added song at Australian radio, but 'See The Sun' has now rocketed pass double Platinum sales. Tune into Channel Ten tonight after the late news to catch Pete + The Stonemasons' spectacular set Live At The Chapel.
Seems like we can't get enough of Pete Murray and neither can you guys... While first single 'Better Days' is still one of the top five most played songs on the airwaves right now, Pete's new track 'Class A' was released to media last week, and has since gone on to become the #1 most-added song to Australian radio - hoorah!
Not only that, but Pete's new album 'See The Sun' has just topped double Platinum sales - less than six weeks since it was released.
With more of a live sound than it's predecessor 'Feeler', it's only appropriate that 'See The Sun' has been supported by non-stop touring, as Pete and The Stonemasons gig their way right around Australia. Six weeks into the tour, the guys are well and truly on fire at the moment and have named their sold-out gigs last week in regional centres like Tamworth, Armidale and Nambour as some of their best shows ever.
Shows in regional Victoria, WA and the Hunter region will follow through November (and are selling FAST) before Pete heads to North Queensland for a series of datesAnd in where he'll be supported by Ben Lee. Come December, Pete will performing on several of the best summer festivals around including The Falls (Vic + Tas), Feelgood (Sydney) and Southbound (WA).
It was also announced this week that Pete Murray will be one of the headliners at this year's Woodford Folk Festival in Queensland. This will be the 20th anniversary of Australia's legendary folk and roots music event and it will happen at the very end of December as always. Check out woodfordfolkfestival.com for tix.
And for anyone who can't get to one of the shows, we hate to tease but you can see what you're missing out on by tuning into Channel Ten tonight after the late news to catch Pete and The Stonemasons launching the 2005 season of Live At The Chapel. Recorded in Melbourne a few weeks ago, the guys were in top form performing in this intimate setting. Be warned - this is going to make you wanna run out and buy a ticket to one of the shows pronto. Don't miss it!
