Pete Murray Announces National Tour

18.04.08
After over two years off the road in Australia, Pete Murray and his band The Stonemasons have announced they're hitting the road to tour Oz. Tickets go on sale at 9am on May 20th, so don't miss this very special chance to see tracks performed live from one of this year's most exciting and anticipated albums 'Summer At Eureka' (in stores May 17).

This August, Pete Murray and his band The Stonemasons will tour Australia playing tracks from Pete's new album 'Summer At Eureka'.

After a two year gap touring Oz, Pete says it's time:

"I did a lot of gigging around 'Feeler' and 'See The Sun' but I pretty much took the last couple of years off from touring in Australia", said Pete. "That allowed me to really focus properly on making the new album at home but now that it's finally finished I'm really ready to get back out there and play the new songs from the album."

'Summer At Eureka' was written, recorded and produced by Pete in his home studio in the hinterland of Byron Bay.

The up-tempo first single, 'You Pick Me Up' (which features Powderfinger's Darren Middleton on guitar) reflects the sunny, laid back and positive environment in which it was recorded, and like its predecessors 'So Beautiful', 'Better Days' and 'Opportunity', 'You Pick Me Up' is already bulleting up the Australian airplay charts.

Pete will be joined on the six-week tour by his acclaimed band; Andy Sylvio (drums), Ben McCarthey (Keys) and Jonathan Zion (bass) as he returns from an international tour which will see him back in Europe hitting the stage with the likes of Rage Against The Machine, Metalica and Foo Fighters at some major festivals including Pinkpop in Amsterdam and Rock Am Ring and Rock Im Park Festivals in Germany, as well as solo headline shows in the UK.

After a few years away, Pete and his band are itching to get back on the road and with his new, more upbeat songs, these shows are not to be missed!

Tickets will go on sale at 9am on May 20 shortly after his third album Summer At Eureka hits shops on May 17.
