'Chance To Say Goodbye' is the third single off Pete's latest album 'Summer At Eureka'. The new six track EP features 'Chance To Say Goodbye', 'Miss Colder', 'Sugar Ranch', 'Small Pieces', 'Late Night Pick Up', and 'Right By Your Side'.
All b-side tracks (except 'Small Pieces') were fuelled by some very late night sessions from the recording of 'Summer At Eureka', where the band did alternative takes on the songs to turn the songs on their heads and go for a completely different feel and sound. 'Small Pieces' was produced in LA by Eric Sarafin (Ben Harper) and dates from the 'See The Sun' sessions in 2005.

Talking to Cleo magazine recently Pete explained how 'Chance To Say Goodbye' came about:
"I like it because it's really simple. Its got a great beat and the verses are really upbeat and the chorus is kinda mellow, sort of the reverse of what it should be. When I wrote that song I was in a small town, at the petrol station filling up with fuel and I looked over at the church across the road and there was a funeral going on. It had just stopped raining, and there was a rainbow in the sky and it was a really beautiful time of day, and I remember thinking, 'What a great day to have a funeral' . Imagine if you didn't get a chance to say goodbye to this person and that was when you had to do it? So that was how that song came about."
